Five WA DNR Sales Draw No Bid to Close August

Fifteen WA DNR results posted in this batch, and five drew no bid: Q Parody Peak and Raw Bin Hood (Aug 25), Bakers Dozen (Aug 26), Country Boy and Q Dead End (both Aug 27). Ten sold. Five of the six no-bids in the recent period are from this batch alone.

• No bids: Bakers Dozen, Country Boy, Q Parody Peak, Raw Bin Hood and Q Dead End, all WA DNR. Elk Mill (WA DNR), from an earlier posting, brings the period total to six.
• Summer board: 40 sold sales since June 27; green sawtimber at a median +28% over minimum; 91,621 MBF (state) of timber sold across the period.
• Period's hardest-bid state sales (prior periods): Dern Draw Blowdown Permit (MT DNRC, Northwestern Land Office) cleared $37.77/ton against a $12.00/ton per-unit minimum, +215% over the per-unit minimum on one bid (total high bid $67,986 against a $21,600 total minimum). Butcher Blowdown Timber Permit (MT DNRC, Northwestern Land Office) cleared $34.86/ton against a $12.00/ton per-unit minimum, +191% over the per-unit minimum on four bids (total high bid $83,838 against a $28,860 total minimum).
• Biggest volume: King (WA DNR) at 54,547 tons, total high bid $1,520,770.
